Election Day is Tuesday, November 5!
On Tuesday, November 5, Houston will have local elections to elect the mayor, City Council (all districts and at-large seats) and the city controller.
There are 12 candidates running for mayor.
To help you cast an informed ballot, we invited all 12 candidates to complete a questionnaire indicating their positions on:
- LGBTQ equality
- Access to reproductive health care
- Criminal justice reform
- Eliminating juvenile curfew ordinances
- Protecting voting rights
- Immigration justice
Their responses are included on this nonpartisan voter guide sponsored by the Texas Freedom Network Education Fund and Texas Rising.
